The students of Indian School Sohar participated in the Physical Activity Day organized by the Directorate General of Culture, Sports and Youth in Al Batinah North, Oman on 2nd October 2023. As a part of the entertainment programs for school Students were organized in Sohar Park. Students enjoyed Recreational games, squash, badminton, table Tennis, basketball, walking, and swimming organized in the Sohar Sports Complex. A badminton tournament was also conducted to encourage the students in sports.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma participated in recreational games specially organized for educators and presented trophies to the winners of Badminton. This involvement from the school's leadership can inspire both students and staff to prioritize physical activity and sports in their daily lives.
Mr. Nikhil More and Ms. Vijayalakhmi Senthil Kumar played vital roles in organizing and officiating badminton tournament.
Events like these not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and a sense of harmony in community among the participants.
