STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR THE CLASSES IX – XII

On 18th April 2023, a student orientation program was conducted  for the new academic session. The program was conducted by the principal Ms.  Sanchita Verma and was attended by all the students of IX to XII in two batches.

Code of Conduct: During the orientation program, the principal emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and following the code of conduct and behavioural expectations set by the school. The students were informed about the rules and regulations of the school and were advised to strictly adhere to them. The principal also emphasized the importance of punctuality and regular attendance.

Assessments: The students were informed about the assessment procedures that would be followed during the new academic session. The principal explained the weightage of different types of assessments such as class tests, assignments, projects, and exams. The students were advised to prepare well for their assessments and to seek help from their teachers whenever required.

CBSE Procedures: The students were informed about the procedures followed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the importance of adhering to them. The principal explained the CBSE guidelines for registration, examination, promotion, and grading. The students were advised to follow the CBSE procedures and to work hard to achieve good grades.

Co-Curricular Activities: The principal emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities and their role in the holistic development of students. The students were advised to actively participate in these activities and to showcase their talents.

Safety: Students were advised to be very safe. Importance of physical safety, social and emotional safety, transport safety cyber safety was explained to the students.

Maximising Scores in Board Examination:  In a special segment class X and XII students were guided about how to maximize their scores in the CBSE Board Exams. The importance of understanding the exam pattern, effective time management, study techniques, presentation, and avoiding common mistakes was highlighted. The students were encouraged to work hard, stay focused, and achieve their goals.

The students were able to clarify their doubts and concerns during the program. The principal also encouraged the students to approach the teachers or the school administration in case of any issues. Overall, the program was effective in preparing the students for the new academic session.
