The English Department recently conducted an “English Handwriting Competition” for students in grades III to V. The competition aimed to promote the art of cursive handwriting and encourage students to develop legible and elegant writing skills. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their proficiency in cursive writing.

Students participated with enthusiasm and excitement. Handwriting was judged based on criteria such as neatness, legibility, consistency in size and spacing of letters, spelling, and punctuation. The Head of Department, Ms. Divya Johari, and Section Supervisor, Ms. Alka Singh provided valuable guidance and support. English teachers of grades III-V made extra efforts to enhance students’ writing skills through effective practice and motivation.

The Principal, Vice-Principal, and Head of the English Department at Indian School Sohar extended their congratulations and appreciation to all participants for their outstanding performance in the Handwriting Competition.

The judges faced a challenge in selecting the winners due to the high level of skill displayed by all participants.

After careful evaluation, the following students were declared winners:

Second Position - Aiden Sam Steev

First Position - Nandini Singh 

Second Position - Kruti Sagaram  

Third Position  - Varsha Manoj Kumar
