The Oman Medical College had organized a hereditary blood disorder campaign on 28th January 2013, at Sohar Entertainment park, Sanaiya to create awareness on the prevailing genetic blood disorders in Sultanate Of Oman.
Twenty six children accompanied by three teachers had the opportunity to participate and exchange their views on genetic blood disorders by displaying posters.
The visit enabled the students to learn about the various genetic blood disorders like Sickle cell anemia, Thalassemia, Haemophilia, G6PD etc the pattern of inheritance, prevention and cure.
There was an on the spot Best Logo Competition in which Aadesh Anish of X C won the first prize.
It was an informative & educative campaign which enabled students to learn more on the related topic.
The students had an interactive session with the staff and students of The Oman Medical College who explained all their queries. It was a memorable experience for the students.
