The 30th Annual Day was celebrated in Indian School Sohar on 9th December 2014, with high spirit and enthusiasm. The tiny tots of KG – Std 2 presented a scintillation performance and won the hearts of the hearts of the equally enthusiastic audience.
The programme started with the National anthems of Oman and India, followed by the welcome speech of the school Head boy, Kush Damani. Mr. Ajay Damani, the revered SMC member extended his thanks to the honoured Chief Guest Mr.Ali Jama Ismail Bait Ishaq, Senior Regional Manger- North Batinah & Al Buraimi Governorate, Bank Muscat and Guest of honour Ms. Zuweina Abdulla Mohammed Al Abdulsalam Head of Private Schools Department, MOE, Sohar for their kind presence.
The Students in their wonderful costumes danced to the tunes of enchanting music. They mesmerised the audience with their captivating and feet tapping numbers. The varied dance forms presented the flavor of the land of India and expressed the compassion of Oman as a host country.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma , presented the annual report and expressed her gratitude towards the SMC members for their support and encouragement. Meritorious students and the toppers of class VI to IX were felicitated on this occasion by the Chief Guest and the Guest Honour.
The programme was received with a huge applause by the audience.
