Annual Day 2014 at Indian School Sohar , saw life and energy, being propelled into an ethos inspiring vision formulated by the school on 11th December 2014. The programme commenced with the National Anthems of Oman and India.
It was indeed an honour and privilege to have Shri Sudhir Keshavji, Director, Naranjee Hirjee & Co. LLC as the Chief Guest and Shri Anil Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas LLC as the Guest of Honour for the day.
The school Head Girl, Paridhi Saxena extended a warm welcome to the gathering followed by a speech by SMC member Mr. Abraham George.
The students brought out the essence of cultural diversity and rich heritage of our country India through their breathtaking performances. The audiences were in awe as they had a cultural tour, not only of India, but also of Oman and the western world. The energetic students displayed fitness through aerobics. The students brought to life the beauty of Fairy Tales through a mind blowing English Play – ‘Cinderella’. The Grand Finale Dandiya was unbelievable with splendid formation and received great appreciation . Melodious voices echoed all around as the talented singers sang swaying to the rhythm of the song.
The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma presented the School Annual Report through Powerpoint presentation enumerating the school’s achievements and the latest milestones in all the arenas. It was a memorable day for the meritorious students and toppers of classes X, XI and XII. The students who achieved a CGPA of 10 in class X CBSE Examination, and subject toppers of class XII CBSE were awarded with Gold coins. The class toppers of Class XI and XII were honoured and felicitated on the occasion.
The Chief Guest Shri Sudhir Keshavji congratulated the school and students for their glorious achievements and praised their efforts for the wonderful show. He motivated the students to inculcate habits to excel in life. The Vice Principal Mrs. Starlet Vincent proposed the Vote of Thanks.
