MENTAL MATH COMPETITION (CLASS I AND II)

“Mathematics is, in its own way, the poetry of logical ideas” As perfectly iterated by Albert Einstein, Math plays a fundamental role in education and life nurturing passion and strengthening interest of the child in the subject. Consequently, Indian School Sohar conducted Mental Math competition for classes I and II on 14th and 15th February 2024 respectively. The students optimized their mental calculation skills to achieve a greater level of accuracy in the stipulated time limit. With witty questions that tickled one’s brain, the children developed problem solving skills and quick thinking: two factors essential in a student’s future. This competition also helped students to gain confidence.

Witnesses of this competition certainly agreed that the participants honed their skills and prepared well for the competition.

 In a nutshell, the competition has contributed to the overall growth of the participant’s skillset.

The coordinators of the Mental Math competition were: Tintu Praful and Shobha Madke.

First Position - Shivang Bhadury (II D) & R. E. Jeev Rea (II A)

Second Position - Mohammed Hamza Vahedna (II D)

Third Position - Khadija Naved Akhtar (II F)
