The third edition of the Mangalore Friends Inter- School Cricket tournament was organized by Mangalore Friends Sohar on 12th December 2014 in AL-Salan ground,Sohar, Sultanate of Oman.
In the semi final Indian School Sohar defeated Pakistan School in the nail biting finish. Faraz Hasan man of the match took 4 wickets in single over and broke the back bone of the Pakistani team. Pakistani School scored 38 runs in six over. Our team chased the target with one ball to left .Some excellent innovative shorts were displayed by vice- captain, Sanjeev Singh. Shivam Dubey, Captain guided the team to victory along with Faraz in the last over.
Indian School Sohar successfully defended their crown for the third time in a row by defeating Bangladesh School in the finals, to lift the trophy. Bangladesh School scored 28 runs which were chased very comfortably by the boys in three over. Gaurav Pokra was declared man of the match for his all round performance which included two sky touching sixes and a four. Team members were: Shivam Dubey(Captain),Sanjeev Singh(Vice-Captain),Gaurav Pokra,Faraz Hasan ,Inderpal Singh Kush Ajay Damani,Sambhav Agnihotri,Gautham Binu,V.S.Ram,Yogeshwar and Rahul.S.
Team was coached by Mr.Kamal Prasad Gurung. Principal, Sanchita Verma congratulated boys for their marvelous achievement.
