Indian School Sohar participated in the CBSE Oman Cluster Basketball Tournament for under -19 Boys and Girls on 20th & 21st October 2014 at Al Amal Club, Bousher organized by Indian School Al-Seeb. In the boys’ quarter finals ISS team defeated Indian School Al-Ghubra with a score of 48-16. In the Semifinals our team defeated Indian School Al-Seeb by the margin of 62-35 and reached finals for the sixth time in nine years. In the closed fought finals boys lost to Indian School Darsait by 48-57 and were declared Runners-Up. Team was captained by Aadesh Anish of Class XII A. Other members of the team were Faraz Hasan XI C, Gaurav Pokra XI C, Inderpal Singh XI C, Vignesh Ramkumar XI B, Savio Tomy XII A, Prateek Prabhu X B, Kush Damani XI B, Rollin Fernandes XI B, Zaeem Ahmad IX B, Sarvagya Jain XI B and Harsh Nair IX B.
In Girls Category our school team defeated Indian School Al-Seeb in the quarterfinal. In the semi-final girls lost to Indian School Muscat.
Team was coached by Mr.Kamal Gurung and Mr.Gagandeep Singh.
