The Green Gyan Eco Club at Indian School Sohar successfully organized a ‘Clothes Donation Drive’ on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, involving students and staff members from KG to XII. The primary aim was to instill the values of charity and the joy of giving.
The enthusiastic participation of students and staff yielded abundant contributions, including old clothes, blankets, bed sheets, bags, shoes etc. The teachers in charge of the Green Gyan Eco Club and volunteers guided students to deposit their donations in the designated area. This initiative not only exemplified the spirit of compassion within the school but also extended a helping hand to those in need, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy among the students and staff members.
The success of this initiative was made possible by the wholehearted support of the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice-Principal, Assistant Vice-Principal, Supervisors, students, parents, staff, and others.
Ms. Sanchita Verma, the Principal and Patron, acknowledged the Green Gyan Eco Club's commendable effort, emphasizing the cultivation of charitable values among students.
Mr. Kamal Gurung, HSE Coordinator, Ms.Saima Ahmad, Club Coordinator and all Eco Club members expressed gratitude to the students for their significant, participation and encouraged them to make regular contributions of used clothes, thereby instilling the value of charity.
