An orientation and interactive programme was organised at Indain School Sohar
On Wednesday, 04/03/14, for the Principals of private schools of Al Batina region. 20 Principals from different schools attended the programme.Ms. Zuweeina Abdulla Mohammed Al Abdulsalam Head of Private School Dept. Ministry of education ,Sohar was instrumental behind this innovative exchange programme.
The programme started with a guided tour of the school facilities and infrastructure. The orientation session was planned to give an insight to the participants about the managerial skills, administrative policies and procedure to manage 3000 plus students.
The principal of Indian School Sohar, Ms.Sanchita Verma initiated the session with
an overview of the school. Followed by this ,were a series of presentations by the
Supervisors Ms. Gauri Gadgeel (KG-II), Ms Alka Singh (III-V),Ms.Indira Sukrmaran (VI-VIII), Ms .Nisha Aravind(IX-X),Mr .Kamal Gurung- HOD-PE, Ms.Dilna Anisha, senior Biology teacher demonstrated smart board teaching technology in enhancing teaching and learning.
The programme was coordinated by the vice-principal, Dr .Vinu Kumar.
An interaction session and sharing of innovative ideas was also a part of the programme.
The programme was well appreciated by the representatives of MOE. And the participants. The participants requested for such sessions in future too for exchange of ideas and collective benefit. The exchange programme resulted in collaborative learning and cooperation and also in individual achievement and excellence.
The session concluded with sumptuous lunch.
