"Student Orientation: Navigating Processes, Discipline, and Behaviour Expectations"

An orientation programme for students in classes IX, X, XI, and XII was conducted by the principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma on Thursday, 25th April 2024. The programme aimed to outline school processes and procedures, as well as communicate the expectations for student discipline and behaviour.

Key Topics Covered in the Orientation Programme:

School Processes and Procedures: The orientation began by explaining the school's key processes, including class schedules, attendance requirements, examination formats, grading systems, and co-curricular activities. This overview was designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the school's daily operations.

Discipline and Behaviour Expectations: The principal then highlighted the school's code of conduct, emphasizing the importance of discipline and proper behaviour. This section covered classroom etiquette, respect for teachers and fellow students, and adherence to school rules.

Consequences for Misconduct: Disciplinary measures that could be taken if students failed to meet behaviour expectations were highlighted. This included a range of possible consequences, from verbal warnings to detention, suspension, or even expulsion, depending on the severity of the violation.

Encouraging Positive Behaviour:  School's approach to promoting and recognizing positive behaviour was also discussed. This included reward systems, student awards, and leadership opportunities for students who demonstrate consistent good behaviour and academic excellence.

Student Support Systems: The orientation also covered the various support systems available to students, such as guidance counselling, academic tutoring, and peer mentoring. The principal encouraged students to take advantage of these resources to enhance their academic and personal growth.

Q&A Session: The programme concluded with a question-and-answer segment, allowing students to ask questions and seek clarification on any aspect of the school's processes or expectations.
