RED COLOUR DAY

Colour Day is more than just a celebration of a colour; it's an opportunity for young learners to engage in hands-on activities that promote learning and development. Red, a colour that symbolizes energy, love and happiness, brings an exciting and vibrant touch into a child's world.

On 17th April 2025, the Kindergarten section of Indian School Sohar celebrated Red Colour Day with great enthusiasm. The day was filled with red-themed activities that not only encouraged creativity but also supported colour recognition and fine motor development.

The Nursery students participated in a fun and engaging ‘Paper-Tearing and Pasting on an Apple’ activity, where they created vibrant red apples. This hands-on craft reinforced the colour red while also developing fine motor skills as children tore and glued pieces of paper onto apple templates.

LKG students had an opportunity to ‘Craft Red Crown Headgear’, adding a royal touch to their celebration. This activity allowed children to express their creativity while learning about the colour red. The headgear not only served as a fun and interactive craft but also helped instil a sense of pride and accomplishment in the students.

UKG students explored the colour red through a ‘Fingerprinting on a Tomato’ activity using tomato templates. This activity combined art and sensory play, promoting fine motor development and creativity.

To add to the excitement, a red-themed costume day was organized for everyone in the KG wing. The classrooms were adorned with vibrant red-themed bulletin boards, featuring student artwork and red-themed decorations. These displays brightened the learning environment and also built vocabulary, making it a learning tool for young learners.

The tiny tots spent their day with games, activities and smiles, creating memories to cherish. The bold red colour contributed to the holistic development of the students, fostering creativity, teamwork and joy among the young learners. It was a visual treat for all.

Red Colour Day at Indian School Sohar was indeed a resounding success. By immersing the little ones in a red-themed environment, teachers created a fun and educational experience that left lasting memories. It was truly an aesthetic delight.
