Indian School Sohar conducted a special morning assembly on May 6, 2025 to pay tribute to the eminent scientist and visionary educationist, Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan. The event aimed to raise awareness among students, teachers, and stakeholders about his invaluable contributions to nation-building and to recognize him as a role model for future generations.
The assembly commenced with a brief introduction highlighting Dr. Kasturirangan’s illustrious career, notably his leadership at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and his pivotal role in formulating the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students understood his scientific achievements and transformative vision for India’s education system.
A special presentation showcased his lifetime contributions, followed by a floral tribute.
The assembly concluded with a pledge to uphold the values he stood for, reinforcing the importance of scientific temper and educational reform in shaping the future of the nation.
