The Investiture Ceremony of the Junior Council at Indian School Sohar, held on 11th May 2025, epitomized the essence of true leadership as articulated in the profound belief that "True leaders don't need a title—they create opportunities for others to dream, grow, accomplish, and unlock their greatest potential." The event unfolded with grandeur and solemnity, celebrating not only the newly appointed leaders but also the spirit of responsibility and commitment that permeates the school community. Through this ceremony, the foundation was laid for fostering an environment where students inspire one another, embracing the ideals of growth and collaboration, thus unlocking their collective potential in pursuit of excellence.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest was Ms. Thuraiya Bint Saeed Bin Ali Al Maamari, Guidance Activity Supervisor, Scouts and Guides Department, Ministry of Education, North Al Batinah Governorate and as the Guest of Honor, Mr. Hamad Bin Khamis Bin Obaid Al Fazari, Scout Supervisor, North Al Batinah, Ministry of Education. Their esteemed presence added great significance to the event.
The programme commenced with a melodious prayer song "Showers of Blessings," It was followed by a warm welcome extended by Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, who emphasized the importance of leadership and integrity in her address to the gathering. Her words set a motivating tone for the morning. As the echoes of welcome reverberated, the gathering joined in a soulful rendition of “It's a Beautiful Day”, uplifting gratitude and optimism that set a joyful tone for the proceedings.
Highlighting the rigorous selection process, the ceremony introduced the dedicated team behind the council elections: Dr. Alka Singh (Supervisor III–V) and Mr. Kamal Gurung (Head of the Physical Department) as the overall coordinators, supported by Ms. Michelle Lee and Ms. Santy Manesh. The newly elected Council Members, adorned with badges and sashes symbolizing authority and trust, proudly marched forward to accept their roles. These emblems of responsibility were ceremoniously presented by the Principal and the Chief Guest, marking a significant milestone in the students' leadership journey. The oath-taking ceremony, led by the Principal, saw the budding leaders solemnly pledging to uphold the core values of sincerity, service, and excellence — committing themselves to lead by example. The event concluded on a triumphant note, with the Junior School Captains, Kanishk Jain and Jordyn D M, delivering a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing their deep gratitude to all who made the occasion memorable.
The event was skillfully anchored by Ms. Santy Manesh and Ms. Nikku Saira Joji, whose confident and engaging presence ensured the smooth flow of the ceremony. The Investiture Ceremony 2025 proved to be a proud moment for the entire school community, as young leaders embarked on a new path of responsibility, dedication, and service.
