PRELIMS AT INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR

Times of Oman Quiz 2015 Preliminary round was held in Indian School Sohar 0n 16th April 2015. This event was categorised into two :-

  • Juniors – Class VIII and below
  • Seniors – Class IX and above

This year the response from the students was overwhelming.  The details are as under :-

  • Indian School Sohar
  • Juniors – 92 Teams ( 184 Students )
  • Seniors – 49 Teams ( 98 Students )
  • Pakistan School Sohar – 20 Teams
  • Bangladesi School Sohar – 28 Teams

Mr. Lloyd ( Quiz Master ) and his team from Muscat conducted the prelims at Indian School Sohar.

Selection for Mega Prelims ( Stage Two )

Sixteen teams from Juniors category and three teams from Seniors were selected for the Mega Prelims held in Indian School Al-Ghubra on 22nd April 2015.

Selection for finals held on 24th April 2015 at Quram Amphi Theatre. Mukund Vegi and J. Shravan from Juniors and Rollin Fernandes and Swapnil Gupta from Senior category got selected for the finals.

Both the teams tried their best in the finals. Junior team with Mukund Vegi and J. Shravan reached top 8 teams qualified for the final. They stood on 5th position in the final event.
