The Physical Education Department of Indian School Sohar organized a friendly Girls’ Basketball Match between Al-Tareef Omani School and Indian School Sohar on Thursday, 6th November 2025, at the school basketball court.
The Vice Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh, and the Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, welcomed both teams and appreciated their enthusiasm, dedication, and sporting spirit.
Team ISS displayed excellent teamwork and skills, securing a comfortable victory in the match. Following the game, a special training session was conducted for the Omani girls’ basketball team by Mr. Kamal Gurung, Head of the Physical Education Department.
The students expressed their excitement and satisfaction over the noticeable improvement they observed within a short span of training. Such friendly matches and collaborative sessions not only strengthen the bond of friendship between Indian School Sohar and Omani schools but also contribute significantly to promoting and developing basketball in Sohar.
