ENGLISH IMPROMPTU SPEAKING COMPETITION

Umm Salama School Sohar organized an exciting Imprompu English Speaking Competition, on 17th November 2025, featuring enthusiastic participation from students. Among the notable participants were three talented students from the Indian School Sohar, Richa Ajish Mammootil, Saraah Imran Khan and Zara Zabil, who rose to the occasion with remarkable skill and poise.

Each contestant was presented with a topic on the spot, followed by five minutes to prepare before delivering a compelling five-minute speech. The competition showcased the ability of participants to respond with agility, articulate their ideas clearly, and engage the audience effectively. All three participants from Indian School Sohar delivered exceptional speeches, earning praise for their eloquence and in-depth analysis of the assigned topics. In a thrilling conclusion to the event, Richa Ajish Mammootil earned the top position with her articulate and insightful presentation, while Saraah Imran Khan secured a commendable third place, showcasing her impressive speaking abilities as well.

The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and dedication, especially recognizing the winners for their outstanding efforts. The competition served as an excellent platform for students to enhance their public speaking skills and gain confidence in their abilities. Overall, the Competition was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of effective communication and fostering a spirit of healthy competition among students.
