ORANGE COLOUR DAY

08-09-2025

The kindergarten wing at Indian School Sohar was glowing with excitement and energy as Orange Colour Day was celebrated on 7th August with the adorable Nursery, LKG, and UKG students.

The colour orange, often associated with warmth, energy, enthusiasm, and happiness—plays a vibrant role in a child’s visual development. Recognizing and naming colours is a vital part of early learning as it boosts cognitive development, strengthens vocabulary, and enhances observation and classification skills in young children.

The youngest learners from Nursery, coloured cute carrot cut-outs and added green paper strips, helping them identify colours and strengthen fine motor skills while having loads of fun.

The LKG students enjoyed a sensory treat as they participated in an orange peeling activity and designed lovely patterns using orange florets—an engaging way to spark creativity through touch and smell.

The talented UKG students tried their hands at paper folding to make smart little fox bookmarks. This activity not only developed their folding and creative skills but also gave them a useful takeaway to treasure.

Celebrating colour days like this not only brings joy and excitement to the classrooms but also supports the holistic development of young learners. It was truly a vibrant day filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories.
