On Thursday, 28th August 2025, Indian School Sohar had the proud privilege of hosting His Excellency Shri G. V. Srinivas, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by Mrs. Neelam Godavarthi and Mr. Vinod Sharma, Attaché (Admin & Property). The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Abraham George, President of the School Managing Committee, members of the SMC, the Principal, staff, and students.
The event commenced with the Royal Anthem of Oman and the National Anthem of India, followed by floral felicitations. A heartfelt welcome address by the SMC President, Mr. Abraham George, set the tone, celebrating the school’s remarkable growth year after year across all spheres—academic excellence, sports and cultural achievements. The President emphasized how visionary leadership, dedicated faculty, and the enthusiasm of students have collectively strengthened the school’s reputation and fostered holistic development. The soulful rendition ‘Tujhe Namami Ho’, the peacock dance ‘Nache Mayuri’ and the stirring patriotic dance drama ‘Ae Mere Watan’, further showcased the school’s artistic brilliance and its deep-rooted pride in India’s heritage.
His Excellency’s inspiring address emphasized education, innovation, and the India–Oman friendship.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of students, staff, and the school community. The memorable visit left a lasting impact, motivating young learners to strive for excellence, service, and global harmony.
