Indian School Sohar celebrated Teachers' Day with great zeal and reverence, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an esteemed educator and philosopher. This occasion was dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the community and nurturing future generations.

The day began with a serene prayer that set a solemn tone for the event, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute at the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by the Principal, Vice Principal, and faculty members. School Captains Aswath Raghavan and Amrutha Varshini warmly welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the crucial role teachers play in fostering a love for learning and guiding students towards their future. A thoughtfully presented “Thought for the Day” served to inspire students to treasure the wisdom and guidance offered by their mentors.

The cultural segment was vibrant and dynamic, featuring performances by students across Grades III to XII. Classical and contemporary dances, soulful songs, and a spirited band performance showcased the diverse talents of the school community. Adding a touch of humor, Rohit Ramrao Kale entertained the gathering with a stand-up comedy act, specially dedicated to the teachers, which left everyone in splits.

To further enhance the celebration, a fun-filled game for teachers was organized, exhibiting their enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Additionally, a lively photo booth allowed them to capture memorable moments together. The presentation of Teachers’ Awards by students added an emotional charm to the event, with heartfelt applause echoing throughout the hall in appreciation of the dedication of their educators. In her address, the Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma thanked the Students Council, organizing team, and all students for putting up a memorable programme. She emphasized the significance of Teachers’ Day and urged the students to follow the noble ideals of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

The celebration concluded with a gracious Vote of Thanks delivered by a teacher representative, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students for their dedication and enthusiasm. Teachers’ Day at Indian School Sohar was not merely a celebration but a sincere expression of respect and gratitude for educators who shape lives with knowledge, values, and inspiration.
