Indian School Sohar observed World Health Day on 7 April 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to promoting health awareness. The occasion brought together students, teachers, and staff for a well-organized and engaging assembly, highlighting the significance of health and well-being.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by an inspiring Thought for the Day that underscored the importance of maintaining good health. A key highlight of the event was an insightful speech delivered Dhriti Basu (X A), followed by a specially curated video based on this year’s theme, “Together for health. Stand with science.” The presentation emphasized the importance of placing trust in scientific advancements and fostering global cooperation to strengthen public health systems. Further enriching the programme, students showcased their creativity through a vibrant dance performance that effectively conveyed message on the importance of physical activity and mental well-being.
The celebration culminated with an inspiring address by the Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, who highlighted the crucial role of youth in building a healthier society. She encouraged students to lead by example and take responsibility for promoting health and fitness within their communities.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem of India.
