(CBSE SCHEME OF STUDIES 2026–27)
An online orientation programme was organized for parents on 20th April 2026, regarding the introduction of R3 in Class VI, as per the CBSE Scheme of Studies 2026 – ‘27. The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, welcomed the parents and set the context for the session.
The Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, introduced the scheme and provided a detailed explanation of the R1, R2, and R3 language structure through a PowerPoint presentation. She highlighted that the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE 2023) and NEP 2020 emphasize multilingualism, recommending the study of two native Indian languages along with one foreign language under the R1, R2, and R3 format.
It was also explained that the same cohort will continue with R3 progressively up to Class X. Various possible combinations of language options were discussed in detail to help parents make informed choices.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, further addressed the parents and clarified their doubts and queries. The session was highly appreciated by the parents, who found the orientation programme informative and the interaction helpful.
