On 10th May 2026, the students of Indian School Sohar conducted a heartwarming and memorable Special Assembly on Mother’s Day to honour and celebrate the unconditional love, care, and sacrifices of mothers.
The assembly commenced with a warm introduction emphasizing the invaluable role of mothers in shaping lives of children. This was followed by a soulful prayer song that filled the atmosphere with peace, positivity, and devotion. A meaningful Thought for the Day reminded everyone of the importance of love, kindness, gratitude, and respect towards mothers.
The students delivered inspiring speeches expressing sincere appreciation for the endless love, guidance, support, and strength that mothers provide. One of the highlights of the programme was the vibrant and energetic “It’s Mom Day” action song. Sung with enthusiasm and peppy vocals, the performance beautifully reflected the rhythm of a mother’s unconditional love and created a lively and joyful atmosphere. The meaningful lyrics and cheerful participation of the students made the celebration truly memorable.
As a gesture of affection and gratitude, the students presented handmade cards to the Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant Vice Principal, and teachers as tokens of love, admiration, and appreciation.
In her inspiring address, the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, encouraged students to love, respect, and cherish their mothers every day. She also appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and teachers in organizing a meaningful celebration.
The assembly was meticulously organized under the guidance of Assistant Vice Principal Ms. Indira Sukumaran and Class Teacher Ms. Infancy Jermila Rani, creating an emotional and joyful atmosphere that was admired by all present.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem and a heartfelt message reminding everyone to value and appreciate their mothers not only on Mother’s Day but throughout their lives.
Overall, the Mother’s Day Assembly was a beautiful and heartfelt celebration dedicated to honouring mothers — the pillars of love, sacrifice, and strength.
