Empowering Future-Ready Learners.

Students of Indian School Sohar participated in the CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Students’ Meet 2026, hosted online by The Millennium School, Dubai, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. The event brought together students from CBSE schools across the Gulf region for a stimulating exchange of ideas on the theme, “What the Algorithm Can’t Teach: Building Resilience and Courage in the Age of AI.”

The programme provided participants with an opportunity to explore the evolving relationship between technology and humanity through a series of engaging discussion forums. The discussion strands included Resilience as the Superpower of the AI Generation, Courageous Thinking in an AI-Driven World, Human Creativity Beyond Algorithms, Building Adaptability for the Future of Learning, Emotional Intelligence in the Age of AI, Leadership Skills That Technology Cannot Replicate, The Power of Curiosity in a Smart-Tech Era, Purpose-Driven Learning for the Future, Innovation Through Courage, Collaboration, and Creativity, and Preparing Students to Thrive Alongside AI.

Our school was represented by Aryan Sajeev (XI B), Joveena Susan Joby (XI A), Dhriti Basu (X A), Mangalprabhu (X E), and Kennith Akbari (X E). Following the introductory session, participants were assigned to discussion groups based on their chosen topics and were directed to separate breakout rooms for focused deliberations. Within these groups, students actively exchanged ideas and perspectives with peers from various schools across the Gulf region. The interactions encouraged them to think critically about the role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future while recognizing the enduring importance of resilience, courage, creativity, empathy, and leadership.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address and interactive Q&A session led by Mr. Daniel Emmerson, Academic Affairs Lead at Goodnotes and Executive Director of the Good Future Foundation. His insightful presentation encouraged students to reflect on future learning, the responsible use of technology, and the need to cultivate distinctly human qualities that technology cannot replicate.

The participants were accompanied by Ms. Divya Johari, Head of the English Department, and Ms. Prajitha Sunil, whose guidance and support contributed significantly to the students’ active engagement and meaningful participation throughout the programme.

The successful participation of the students reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing future-ready learners, in line with the vision and encouragement of Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma, whose constant support inspires students to actively engage in meaningful academic and leadership opportunities.

Overall, the CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Students’ Meet 2026 proved to be an enriching and thought-provoking experience, inspiring students to embrace technological advancements while remaining firmly grounded in the human values that will continue to shape the future.
