Brilliant tech enthusiasts of Indian School Sohar showcased their incredible creativity and technical skills at the Innovation Hackathon 2026, hosted by Middle East College in Al Rusayl on April 11th. Representing Indian School Sohar with immense pride, 9 students formed two dedicated teams under the expert guidance of the faculty of Computer Science Department to take on modern global challenges. This successful participation was made possible through the constant encouragement, visionary leadership, and unwavering support of the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, who continually fosters a culture of innovation and excellence within the school.
With a strong focus on environmental impact and sustainability, the teams presented two highly impressive projects: Biya, developed by Aysha Hanaan, Marcia Mosses, Aisha Mehdiya and Afrah Riyaz from Class XI, and EcoSync, created by Krishnoor Singh, Arshad Basha Saleem, Tejas Surepally, Samanya Kola and Aswath Raghavan of Class XII. Both initiatives offered innovative ways to address modern environmental challenges through eco-preservation and synchronized technology. Through this intense competition, the students gained invaluable, hands-on experience in critical thinking, teamwork, and the practical application of sustainable technology.
Team ISS extends heartiest congratulations to the young innovators for the hard work, dedication, and visionary thinking.
