The Green Gyan Eco Club of Indian School celebrated Bagless Day on 11 June 2026 with the theme “Best Out of Waste” for the students of the Preparatory Stage (III-V), before the school closed for the summer vacation. The day was observed without school bags, allowing students to engage in joyful, hands-on learning experiences beyond their regular classroom routine. The initiative aimed to promote experiential learning through creative and engaging activities.

Students enthusiastically participated in the Best Out of Waste activity by creating useful and decorative items from discarded materials such as plastic bottles, coconut shells, wool and bottle caps. Through this activity, students learned the value of reusing and upcycling materials and protecting the environment.

The classrooms were filled with excitement as students showcased their creativity and innovation. Teachers guided the students throughout the activity and encouraged them to think creatively while using waste materials responsibly. The finished products included pen stands, organisers, photo frames, flower vases, and other attractive utility items.

The principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma commended the students and teachers for their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication. She interacted with the students, observed their innovative creations, and appreciated their efforts in turning waste materials into useful and attractive items. The impressive displays reflected students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and awareness of environmental conservation and sustainable living. She praised the initiative for promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and eco-friendly habits, and for providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

The Bagless Day celebration was both educational and enjoyable. It provided students with an opportunity to learn through experience, develop creative skills, and understand the importance of reducing waste and reusing resources in everyday life.
