i) Hindi Teachers attended a workshop held at ISM on 4th October 2012 by eminent educationist Mrs. Sanyukta Luthra. The teachers were made aware of the various changes in the field of Hindi teaching and Higher Order Thinking Skills.
ii) The teachers of the middle & senior school attended a very informative session on “Art of Effective communication for better curriculum transaction” by Ms. Syeda Shujaat Unnisa, faculty Sohar Nursing Institute on 29th November 2012. The teachers learnt about the fine nuances of Spoken English. They were given some important and valuable tips on how to improve the pronunciation of Non –Native Speakers.
iii) A presentation on “How to conduct Parent Teachers Meeting effectively” was conducted by the Principal Sanchita Verma on 29th November 2012.
The teacher’s were enlightened that both teachers and parents can work together for betterment of the students.
iv) A presentation on “Language Enhancement” was conducted by Mrs. Divya Johari, Senior English Teacher on 29th November 2012. The faculty members understood the correct usage of many words.
v) An interactive session on “Importance of Pronunciation & Accent in Teaching Learning Process” was conducted by Mr. Gireesh Navath and Mr. Henry Earl Lewis on 6th December 2012. Faculty of Indian School Sohar is thankful to the guest speakers for guiding them as well.
