To strengthen numerical skills, enhance speed and accuracy in calculations, improve concentration, and foster logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, a Mental Math Competition was successfully conducted at Indian School Sohar for students of Classes I and II on February 11th and 12th, 2026, respectively.
The initiative was designed to build confidence in young learners while nurturing a positive and enjoyable approach towards Mathematics.
Through this competition, students demonstrated mental calculation skills, sharper focus, and greater confidence in handling numbers. The young participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm, presence of mind, and accuracy throughout the event.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Tintu Praful and Ms. Sonal H Ramaiya.
The following students emerged as winners amidst tough competition with fellow participants.
Class I
First Position - Niranjan Kamath (I D)
Second Position - Muhammad Nashidh Pari (I C) and Dhiyan Sheetalkumar Parmar (I B)
Third Position - Abdul Waris Khan (I H)

First Position - Juan Smith John Prince Sunitha (II B)
Second Position - Aarvi Verma (II G)
