“Together We Care, Together We Share”
During the holy month of Ramadan, Samarpan Club, the community service wing of Indian School Sohar, organized a “Joy of Giving” Food Donation Drive to promote the spirit of compassion and sharing among students from Balvatika to XII and staff members.
The initiative received an overwhelming response from students, parents, and staff, who generously contributed non-perishable food items. With the support of student volunteers and teachers, the donated items were carefully sorted, packed, and prepared for distribution.
Led by the Principal, Club Coordinator, and teachers in-charge, a team of volunteers distributed the food items to needy families in different parts of the city. The programme not only addressed the needs of the community but also reflected the school’s commitment to social responsibility.
Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma appreciated the efforts of the Samarpan Club and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in nurturing values of empathy and service among students. Coordinator, Ms. Indira Sukumaran expressed her sincere gratitude to the Principal, staff, students, parents and Samarpan Club members for their wholehearted support, which made the campaign a great success.
