INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR HOSTS ANNUAL EXHIBITION -

The primary section of Indian School Sohar (ISS) hosted its annual exhibition - ‘Spectrum-2015’ recently in the School Campus.

The young minds of ISS were given an opportunity to display their experiences and to create something unique and novel with the help and guidance from their teachers and parents. The exhibition on the basis of various topics was focused on ingraining a scientific and creative attitude in the little ones by engaging them in ‘hands-on-experience’.

The Chief Guest Engineer Maryam Said Al- Qasimy, Science Labs Supervisor, Ministry of Education, North Batinah region and Guest of Honour Qazi Abdur Rahman, Principal, Bangladesh School Sohar and were accorded a traditional welcome . Members of the School managing Committee Mr. Lalit Asher, Mr. Rajesh Mehta, Mr. Ajay Damani, Dr. Mahesh Mistry, Mr. Abraham George, and Mr. Sunil Sharma were specially present on the occasion .The chief Guest declared the exhibition open with the unveiling of the majestic inaugural model displayed in the school ground highlighting the importance of Indo-Oman friendship and cooperation. Principal Sanchita Verma dedicated the grand display as a tribute to the 45th National Day of Oman.

The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour motivated the students with their visit to all the classrooms along with the members of the School managing Committee.

The Principal said, “The exhibition provides a platform for the eager learners to come out from their classroom and display their textual knowledge practically which could help them become responsible citizens in the future.

Hundreds of displays dotted the classrooms with participation ranging from classes LKG to V. Each corridor became a celebration of innovative ideas. Beautiful projects voiced out the messages like ‘Save the Mother Earth’, ‘Harvest Water & Save Life’, ‘Best Out of Waste’, ‘Save Electricity’, the culture of India & Oman and many more. The Puppet Show, Fairy Land, Mesmerizing Maths, the World Gallery, Eureka,Tech Learning, Habitats,Art from the Heart, Navsrajan, Healthy Food, The Universe  also attracted one and all present.

The live performance of the school band ‘Dhwani’ and the choir entertained the audience with their melodious performance. The members of the ‘Right Click’- school’s photography club captured every exhilarating moment of the exhibition.

The distinguished guests and parents applauded the combined efforts of the teachers, parents and students for the novel ideas presented and the hard work behind each presentation.

The parents were very attentive to the kids who explained their displays. The interactive games, quizzes and puzzles tested the knowledge of the guests, and they were all excited even while losing. The exhibition was successful in boosting the confidence of the students and proved that the little ones of ISS could apply their learning and relate to their daily life situations and left each and everyone who visited the show enthralled and mesmerized by the scintillating display of talent.
