As part of the celebrations marking the 80th Independence Day of India, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Embassy of India, Muscat, and the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, Indian School Sohar successfully organized a Painting Competition on 4 August 2026 and
a Quiz Competition on 5 August 2026.
The Painting Competition, based on the theme "Viksit Bharat @ 2047," inspired students to creatively depict their vision of a developed and progressive India. The participants impressed the judges with their originality, creativity, and thoughtful interpretation of the theme.
The Quiz Competition engaged students in an exciting test of their knowledge on patriotism, the Constitution of India, Indian history and culture, India's recent achievements, and major Government of India initiatives. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating excellent awareness and confidence.
The competitions provided a meaningful platform for students to celebrate the nation's rich heritage, deepen their understanding of India's journey, and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of unity, progress, and responsible citizenship.
Through such initiatives, Indian School Sohar continues to instill patriotism, civic responsibility, and pride in India's achievements while inspiring students to contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
