Indian School Sohar proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Blessy Vinod Jeeba, a student of Class XII D, who was selected to represent the Oman Women's Under-19 Cricket Team and made her maiden international debut in the ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup 2026, held in Malaysia from 9th to 18th July 2026.
Blessy represented Oman in the tournament and made her international debut against Myanmar, marking a proud milestone in her sporting journey. Her selection to the national team and participation in an international tournament is a matter of immense pride for the school and the nation.
On this special achievement, the President, Members of the School Managing Committee, Principal, staff, and students of Indian School Sohar extended their heartfelt congratulations to Blessy and wished her continued success in her cricketing career.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma praised her dedication, discipline, perseverance, and commitment to the game. She commended her hard work and determination, expressing confidence that Blessy would continue to achieve greater milestones in the future and bring more laurels to Oman and the school.
Blessy also expressed her sincere gratitude to her coach, Kamal Prasad Gurung, for his constant guidance, encouragement, and dedicated training, which played a significant role in helping her reach this prestigious level.
Sharing her experience, Blessy said, "Representing Oman at the ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup was a dream come true. Making my international debut was an unforgettable moment. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, learned a great deal from playing against international teams, and gained valuable experience that will help me grow as a cricketer. I am grateful to my coaches, Indian School Sohar, my family, and Team Oman for their constant support throughout this journey. "
