With an inspiring spirit of curiosity and inquiry, the Science Department successfully organized an exciting Science Quiz Competition, for the students of Class V, with the constant encouragement and support of Ms. Sanchita Verma, Principal and Dr. Sheenam Samuel, Headmistress of Indian School Sohar.
The Preliminary Round, held on 19 August 2026 in the respective classrooms, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the young scientists. Based on the performance, the most deserving students advanced to the much-awaited Final Round, held on 23 August 2026 in the Recreation Hall.
The final round was a spectacular blend of knowledge, observation, logic, memory, problem-solving and presence of mind. Innovative and interactive rounds kept both participants and the audience captivated, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition, excitement and joyful learning.
The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Sanchita Verma, Principal, Dr. Sheenam Samuel, Headmistress, Mr. Yashvir Singh, Vice Principal, and Ms. Indira Sukumaran, Assistant Vice Principal, who appreciated the dedicated efforts of the team behind this enriching and intellectually stimulating initiative. The program was very well conducted by the coordinators Ms. Nikhat Jaffer and Ms. Mini Susam Lal
The event was skillfully compered by Saajvika (VH), Pranitha (VH), and Anwita (VH), who kept the audience engaged and added energy and enthusiasm to the proceedings.
The quiz was a wonderful platform for students to showcase their curiosity, quick thinking, and passion for science. The young participants displayed remarkable confidence, teamwork, quick thinking and an impressive passion for science. Their enthusiasm transformed the quiz into much more than a competition - it became a celebration of curiosity, discovery and scientific thinking.
The Science Department extends heartfelt gratitude to the Principal and the Headmistress for their unwavering encouragement and support. Special appreciation was extended to the dedicated Science faculty and all participating students for making the event a memorable, meaningful and intellectually stimulating experience. The Principal and the Headmistress extended heartiest congratulations to all the winners for their excellent performance, teamwork, scientific knowledge, and spirit of healthy competition.
