The Science Department of Indian School Sohar, under the guidance of Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma and HOD Science, Ms. Nisha Sobti, successfully organised the STEAM Race – Inter-House Competition for Class VIII on 7 September 2026.
The event featured five engaging stations based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM). Students enthusiastically participated in questions and hands-on challenges that tested their scientific knowledge, creativity, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and logical thinking.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and the dedicated efforts of the Science Department. She highlighted the importance of STEAM-based learning in connecting classroom knowledge with real-life applications and developing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and innovation among students.
The event proved to be an engaging and enriching learning experience, encouraging students to explore, experiment and learn beyond the classroom.
