Indian School Sohar organized a Donation Campaign on 17th February 2016 for classes of I to X so as to encourage the students to work for a good cause and understand the importance of community service. Students and teachers turned out in large numbers to donate old cloths, bedsheets, hand bags and shoes filling the cloth donation vehicle.
Leading the campaign, the School Principal Sanchita Verma placed the clothes first with the objective of distributing usable garments to the needy. To give an underprivileged person a pair of clothes is as good as dressing him with self-respect and this was the attitude with which the students and teachers donated. The students were very happy after the venture and learnt the value of sharing their items with the needy.
Special thanks to all the parents for encouraging their wards to come forward for the noble cause.
