CREATIVE EXPRESSION OF HUMAN VALUES
Indian School Sohar hosted the Times of Oman Open Essay Writing and Poster Making Competition on 16th April 2016. The event was organised for the ninth consecutive year by the SAI Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. It is held as a part of the group’s endeavour of Spreading the Light through Human Values, continuing a tradition of 13 years.
Around 700 students of the al Batinah region had registered for the competition through their schools. Mrs. Divya Johari, HOD, English, coordinated the event and the entire department conducted the show in a hassle free manner.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Khalin Bin Rashid, Asst. Director, Education Programs Dept., accompanied by Mr. Anvar Al Balushi, Senior Supervisor, Language of English, was received by the Principal Sanchita Verma and the Sai Group Chairperson, Mr. Suresh Kumar. A floral welcome was accorded to them at the reception. The chief guest declared the competition open by unveiling the sheets for the participants.
The participants were very enthusiastic and displayed their talent both in Poster Making and Essay Writing. The wholehearted response of the participants was applauded by one and all present.
