INTERNATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION

Al Batinah International School celebrated 'International Day' on 17th March 2016. Among many prominent schools of Sohar, Indian School also participated in this celebration. Students of Indian School Sohar presented cultural programmes depicting the rich cultural heritage of India.The diversity of the Indian panorama was brought across by means of the foot-tapping dance performances.

'Bhangra Queens' a group of girls of class VII & VIII performed an excellent Bhangra. The colourful and energetic performance got loud applause and appreciation from the crowd.

The second presentation was a 'Rajasthani Dance' where the girls of class VI swirled to the rhythms of the Manjiras.

Final presentation was a 'Haryanvi Dance' where the girls of VI recreated the joy and gaiety of the traditional Indian fairs.

The eventful evening provided a good platform for students to perform and gave an opportunity for multicultural exchange. The colourful cultural strands woven together beautifully left the audience awestruck with their universal appeal.

The spectators greatly appreciated the cultural programmes and applauded the efforts of the students and teachers, which had left them yearning for more of such enthusiastic events.
