English Poem Recitation Competition with Props for class II was organized on 4th October, 2016 at Indian School Sohar. The competition aimed at encouraging the use of English through meaning, sound and rhythmic language of a poem. It helps children to express themselves confidently in English language.
The selection round was held in all the sections of class II and three students from each section were selected for the final round. The children chose a variety of topics and props like save a girl child, grandma, home, birth of a butterfly, car pool, the Earth, trees, fruits, paper boats, rainbow, umbrella, etc.
The competition was judged on the basis of relevant usage of props, pronunciation, expression and voice modulation. The performances were enjoyed, appreciated and applauded.
