Mental Maths Competition for class I and II was held on 6th and 7th January, 2017. It is a universal platform for young calculators to exhibit their calculation skills and to enhance speed as well as accuracy and was held with an intention to create interest in the minds and hearts of students towards mathematics and the competition aims at revealing some of the interesting relationship between numbers, which will lay a strong foundation towards fast calculations.
It was conducted in two rounds. The selection round was held in all the sections of class I and II and three students from each section were selected for the final round.
Children showcased that they have the ability to work sums in their head, and it is an important skill that primary students must develop through the key stages. The enthusiastic and zealous performances were appreciated and applauded by all.
