FAREWELL 2018

The students of Std. XI of Indian School Sohar organized a dazzling but emotional farewell for their seniors, the outgoing Std. XII batch. The day was a fiesta to reminisce joyous moments and was devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers. It was the time for reflection, sentiments, expression of gratitude and ceremonial good bye.

In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere, the outgoing students were welcomed with a rose and the stage set ablaze with their ramp walk. The Head girl, Tulsi Mehta welcomed them. The function was inaugurated by the Principal by lighting the lamp.  It was followed by games and cultural programmes for the students. There was a spate of scintillating dances, pulsating music, mystifying magic show and laughter and the hosts impressed all with the showcasing of their vast repository of skills. The song “We Believers” received a standing ovation from the audience.

Three outgoing students, Shraddha, Asher Thomas and Sohail Ahmed delivered their valedictory speeches sharing their experience at ISS. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time that they spent in the School acquiring education for life. Students reminisced their fun-filled days in school and expressed how difficult it is for them to go out of the portals of their alma mater.

The Principal addressed the gathering sharing her views about school life quite emotionally. She invited everyone for the gathering of SOAL to be taking place in the near future. Her thought provoking speech bidding them farewell with a heavy heart, but with a hope that they fare well in life left everyone teary-eyed. The much-awaited result of the titles Mr. &Miss ISS, Miss & Mr. Popular & Miss & Mr. Eve were announced. Sambhav Agnihotri bagged all the three titles, Mr. ISS, Mr. Popular and Mr. Eve. When Shraddha was adjudged Miss ISS, Versha Singh earned the title Miss Popular and Surbhi Singh became Miss. Eve. The School captain, Rahul Khatav proposed the vote of thanks.
