In order to create awareness among teachers on Learning Disabilities, a session was held by Dr.Subhadra Prabhu, Human Development Expert (School Counselor) on 25th and 26th of July 2018 on the topic ‘Understanding Learning Disabilities’. In addition to elaborating the meaning, causes and types of learning disabilities, she threw light on the warning signs that teachers had to be observant of to identify students with this challenge. These apart, she communicated the classroom accommodations and support strategies that could be adopted by teachers to facilitate better learning outcomes in students who were diagnosed with learning disability.
