Indian School Sohar celebrated the 108th Birth Anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize Winner Saint Mother Teresa, whose contributions to humanity outlived her. A special assembly was conducted on Sunday, 26th August 2018 by the students of Class VII-G. The Vice- Principal, Dr. Vinu Kumar and   Mrs. Indira Sukumaran, Supervisor offered a floral tribute at the portrait of Mother Teresa. The highlight of the event was the enactment of one student, Swati as Mother Teresa. Inspirational speeches were delivered and quiz on the life of Mother Teresa and on Raksha Bandhan was conducted. A song was sung by a group of students as a tribute to Mother Teresa followed by a vibrant folk dance full of joy. The SOF Prize Distribution Ceremony was also held and the students were felicitated with Merit certificate, Medals and Gift vouchers. The Vice-Principal addressed the students and congratulated the winners and encouraged more students to participate in the competitions. The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma urged and motivated the students to donate generously for the flood victims of Kerala.
