Ministry of Sports Affairs, North Al Batinah region organized ‘Sports day’ for the students of Indian School Sohar on 8th August 2018 at Sohar Sports Complex. Total 140 students participated in girls and boy’s category. This event gave great opportunity to experience the excellent infrasture provided for indoor football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. At the same time they enjoyed playing there too.
This kind of Sports Day programme helps the students to reduce stress, enhance the leadership quality, it provided a chance to the students to meet new people and make new friends.
Ahmed Bin Mohmoud Al-Mayasi, Director of Sports Complexes and Centers and Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Farsi, Director of Activities and Sports Development, enjoyed watching the students participating with great enthusiasm and exuberance. Team trophies and medals to the winners and runners-up of various games were given by the chief guests.
Ahmed Bin Mohmoud Al-Mayasi, Director of Sports Complexes and Centers congratulated physical education staff and Omani staff of the school and all organizers who conducted the event quiet successfully.
