STRESS MANAGEMENT

A session on ‘Stress Management’ was conducted by Dr. Subhadra Prabhu, School Counselor, for students of Class X, XI & XII before Term I Examinations during the month of September. In this interactive session, she discussed with students about the common stressors they face as adolescents and their reactions to stress. Then, she oriented the students about the method of identifying various stress signals and techniques to deal with them effectively. The impact of stress on one’s health was highlighted as well. Later, the significance of consuming a balanced diet, engaging in good physical activities and taking adequate rest was emphasized in order to beat stress. Various coping strategies to skillfully tackle stressful conditions were also elaborated upon.
