Indian School Ghubra organized CBSE Oman Cluster Chess Tournament on 06-10-2018. Total 12 Indian schools participated with 286 players in different categories, Under 14 /17 /19 boys and girls Indian School Sohar emerged winner in Under 14 Girls category. Under 17 Girls and under 19 boys won Bronze medals. The coaching and guidance provided by the Team Coach Mr. Kuldeep Singh was instrumental in getting the success.
Under 14 Girls are qualified for CBSE Chess Nationals to be held from 1 to 4 Nov. 2018 at Gwalior M.P. India.

Gold Medal:
Under 14 Girls : Sona Sudhakar, Juhita Sai Lakshmi, Jahanvi Patnaik , G. Lakshitha
Bronze Medal:
Under 17 Girls : Shriya Srinivasagopalan , Zeba Tankeen, Steny Varughese, Spandana. S
Under 19 Boys : Theodure Philip, Punit Sudhakar, Naman Jani, J. Shravan
The president, members of the school management committee, principal, staff and the students congratulated the team and thanked the team coach Kuldeep Singh for bringing laurels to the school.
