Success is when your “Signature” changes to “Autograph”-A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

This philosophical thought of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the legend, reminds us of his simplicity and contribution to the nation. His birthday is proclaimed as World Students’ Day by UNO for his contribution in the field of education. To honour the great legend on his birth anniversary, Indian School Sohar organized a special assembly for classes IX and X and was conducted by IX D. The assembly was celebrated in a splendid manner at the Recreation Hall of Indian School Sohar. The assembly commenced by invoking the blessings of almighty and paying tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The badges of  Students’ Day were then presented to the Principal, Vice- Principal and Supervisor by the class monitors. It was then followed by an inspirational thought of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, which enlightened the audience gathered. The main attraction of the program was a motivational song and a skit dedicated to Dr. Kalam. The skit exhibited the different stages of Kalam’s  life where he faced both success and failures. The skit conveyed a motivational message to all the students and charmed the spectators assembled for the program. The Speech provided a clear history of Kalam’s personal life, career and achievement. The mantra of success presented by the anchor gave good vibes and a sense of encouragement for the young and sprouting minds present in the hall.

The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma addressed the gathering by sharing her experience of meeting Abdul Kalam. She gave the thoughtful message on the significance of becoming a good student and also emphasized on the mantra of success.

The assembly finally concluded with the prize distribution for various Sports related competitions. The co-ordinator of assembly was Ms. Rajeena Rassak. The efforts of the organizers were appreciated by everyone.
