The Physical Education Department of Indian School Sohar organized a Virtual Star Jump Competition for the students of classes III - VIII from 21st November to 5th December 2021 with the aim of creating awareness in students towards improving their overall fitness. The Competition was a great success with 225 participants.
The star jump exercise activates muscle groups across the body, hamstrings, hip flexors and core while specifically targeting glutes and quadriceps. Star jumps are versatile bodyweight exercises that could be included in home workout routine.
Students gave outstanding performance, had fun with an engaged star jump and showed commitment, sportsmanship, coordination, enthusiasm, and a solid level of fitness.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma congratulated all the winners and the participants.
