INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR CELEBRATES THE 51st NATIONAL DAY OF OMAN

21-11-2021

Indian School Sohar celebrated the 51st National Day of the Sultanate of Oman, which is a commemorative day to celebrate the birthday of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. The school has been decked up in the national colours of green, red, and white for the special day. The festoons,  flags and smiles on the faces of the students and staff made it known to everyone that the day was special. The staff and students were seen exchanging greetings, spreading cheer all around.

However, since a circular has been issued to schools prohibiting any events or gatherings on this occasion, the red-letter day was celebrated virtually with great enthusiasm.

There was no stone left unturned as students from Kindergarten to grade 12 took part in the virtual celebration of this prestigious event by organizing special assemblies. Students showcased their talents by reading poetry, singing, dancing, and showing off the beautiful Omani traditional dress in which they were dressed up for the occasion. A special PPT- Oman Vision 2040 by the Oman TV was shown to the students to raise more awareness among them about the country where they are residing, and which has become their home away from their homeland.

Principal Sanchita Verma expressed her gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq and  the friendly people of the country. She greeted her Omani colleagues on this special day.
