“A Mother is one who can take place of all others, but whose place no one else can take”
Mother’s Day is a special day for all children and mothers as it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Mothers are the backbone of the family and is equivalent to God, teacher, friend, philosopher, and guide.
Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, classes III to V of Indian School Sohar had a special celebration on Mother’s Day on 9th May 2022. During their respective Mathematics period, teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of mother in a child’s life through effective thematic presentations, moral stories, dramatization, and video clippings.
The students came up with new and innovative ideas, expressed through the beautifully prepared cards dedicated to their mothers. They spoke lovingly and devotedly about how mothers have influenced their lives. The outcome of their efforts was extraordinary as each card was special and different in its own way.
Mother’s Day celebration 2022 was planned, conceived, co-ordinated and conducted by Department of Mathematics, with the joint efforts of students, Coordinator Ms. Mini Susam Lal, Head of the Department Mr. Lourduraj, Vice-Principals Dr. Vinu Kumar & Mr. Yashvir Singh and Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma.
Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable day for all students, which left an indelible mark on the innocent hearts.
